Full Circle Funerals Partners wins Bereavement Support Award
Full Circle Funeral Partners in Altrincham has been recognised with a national award for its positive impact on the wellbeing of people who have been bereaved.
Sara and Jez Fixter of Full Circle Funeral Partners were presented with the Bereavement Support Award at the national AGFD Good Funeral Awards 2023 in Solihull this month.
The couple launched their funeral service with a defined purpose to support people’s wellbeing after loss and have been proactively supporting bereavement initiatives in the local community.
Sara said: “Supporting people to arrange the funeral they want and to care for their longer-term wellbeing after bereavement is hugely important to us and we are thrilled that this has been recognised with a national award.
“Everything we do is focused on wellbeing and we regularly run free training sessions on Wellbeing After Bereavement and Bereavement at Work at local colleges, care and healthcare settings.”
Zoe Rivers from Beyond Barriers added: “I have seen the passion and sensitivity Sara brings to supporting people in our community. The professional sensitivity they bring to clients is obvious – but they go beyond the funeral process and raise awareness of wider bereavement support through their own campaigns and collaboration with local businesses. This ranges from sharing their experiences of family support before and after loss, community twiddle mitt campaigns for hospices and more recently becoming a founder member of our local Trauma-sensitive Community network. They make it possible to talk about loss in a progressive way and ultimately feel like the safest pair of hands to hold you through the journey of loss and grief. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to our clients and friends and feel privileged to have them in our community.”
