On Tuesday 20th of February Kevin Downes passed away peacefully. He touched the lives of a great many people and he will be profoundly missed.
We will be holding a memorial and celebration of his life for all who wish to join us at Whitkirk Cricket Club, Main Room, on Wednesday 20 March, from 1pm to 5pm. Details of the venue can be found at https://www.whitkirkclub.co.uk/how-to-find-us/.
To commemorate his life we will be holding a memorial for Kev with a few words from those that knew him as a partner, a father, a brother, a colleague and a friend at 2pm.
Kev wanted a decent send-off, so in accordance with his wishes, there will be food, drink and a convivial atmosphere with an opportunity to meet those who enriched his life and whose lives he enriched in return.
As we acknowledge the sadness of his passing we are also coming together to celebrate his life; as such we do not expect guests to wear black.
