Alison Joanne Ridley
If you ever met Alison, you will never forget her.
A once-in-a-lifetime character full of fun, love and empathy.
Alison has been living with a rare form of cancer for over 18 months, defying the odds and making the most of every moment. From Brighton Beach to the Northumbrian Coast, Alison thrived through illness in ways other couldn’t, with her own unique sparkle.
Sadly, her spirit left for its next adventure in the early hours of Wednesday 29th July 2021. She passed away peacefully beside her ‘son and heir’, William, at St James Hospital, Leeds.
Plans to celebrate her life are yet to be finalised, but please continue to check this page for more information as it becomes available.
One thing you could always guarantee with Alison is that she cared deeply for others. With that in mind, if you would like to show your love and commemorate her at this time, she would love you to donate to either of the charities below:
St George’s Crypt
This amazing charity was very close to Alison’s heart; and they provide care, compassion and hope to the homeless, the vulnerable and those suffering from substance dependence.
