Bereavement focused engraving and crafting workshop by Victoria Walker
Harrogate Baptist Church, Tue 9 Jan 2024 12:30 -2.30pm
This is the second workshop Full Circle Funerals has done with Victoria, who has been creating Memorial jewellery and gifts from her beautiful shop in the heart of Farsley village for over 11 years. Her own personal experience with grief has reinforced her desire to help others through the medium of crafting and hand making sentimental jewellery and gifts.
She has now dedicated time to helping others through her workshops with Full Circle Funerals to create unique gifts whilst exploring the subject of bereavement, grief and loss in a gentle and artistic way.
During the session you can create a bookmark, tree decoration or keyring of your choice. You will be shown the techniques required to create your own unique personalised gift and be guided through how to add textures and patterns to metal using traditional punch engraving techniques by Victoria.
Creating and crafting with engraved pieces is an opportunity to relax and to tune into yourself and tap into the joy of focused creativity. Each piece will be wonderfully unique and personal to you.
All materials and tools needed for the workshop will be provided free of charge by Victoria Walker and Full Circle Funerals as part of their ongoing efforts to increase the level of bereavement support in the local community. Memory Candles Workshop with Leeds Mind & Inkwell Arts
Mon 19 Feb 2024 at 3pm at Cup 19 Café in Pudsey
This is our second workshop at Cup 19 in Pudsey and our first collaboration with Leeds Mind/Inkwell Arts. During the workshop the group facilitator will demonstrate how to pour your own unique scented candles, adding colour and beautiful dried flowers as decoration if you wish. We use recycled glass jars to create candles in our workshops, which can also be decorated with ribbons and hand-written labels. Once fully dried, these candles can be lit in remembrance of a loved one.
All materials and tools needed for the workshop will be provided free of charge by Inkwell Arts and Full Circle Funerals as part of their ongoing efforts to increase the level of bereavement support in the local community.
