Peter Ernest Hetherington, of Ben Rhydding, Ilkley, and formerly of Aspley Guise, Bedfordshire, died peacefully at home on 9th March 2025.
Much loved husband of Marion, brother to Margaret, father to Katie, James and Robert, grandpa to Henry, Ellie, Holly, Will, Max, Josh and Iris.
Peter’s funeral service will take place at 11am on Wednesday 2nd April at the Church of St John the Evangelist, Bolling Road, Ben Rhydding, Ilkley LS29 8PN.
The service will be followed by a committal at Skipton Crematorium at 12.30pm. Family only, please.
Following the service we would like you to join us at Clevedon House Audley retirement village, Ben Rhydding Drive, Ilkley, LS29 8AU for refreshments and to share memories and stories of his life. Food and drink will be served from 2pm.
Please note that parking at both the church and Clevedon house is very limited, so we would ask people to either car share or use taxis wherever possible.
We would politely ask that you do not bring flowers to the funeral. If you would like to make a donation then we would very much like you to make a contribution towards Parkinson’s UK, an organisation that was very important to both Marion and Peter.
