Funeral awareness and funeral choices talk or workshop
Since we opened in 2016, we have been educating professionals, members of the public and community groups about funerals, the choices available to them and considering – what is a meaningful funeral?
With a little information, we believe that people are much more likely to have their funeral needs met. This learning gives you everything you need to engage with funeral planning with much greater confidence.
Many professionals (solicitors, care staff and those working in community groups) find themselves being asked about funerals and funeral choices. If you work in one of these environments then this workshop will help you to feel more confident to help these conversations, and deliver a better experience for the person you are supporting.
Who is this for?
This workshop is accessible and interesting to anyone who does not arrange funerals every day. It covers a broad range of funeral related subjects which leave the learner with the knowledge and confidence to express their wishes, arrange a funeral, or support someone personally or professionally.
Our training is designed to be informative and practical, so you can immediately apply what you’ve learned to your personal and professional life.
What is covered?
This workshop is tailored to your specific needs but can include:
1) Understanding the funeral arrangement process
2) Legal considerations relevant to funeral arrangements
3) Cultural and religious considerations in funeral planning
4) Communication skills for discussing funeral arrangements
How is it delivered?
We offer both in-person and virtual training so you to fit our courses into your busy schedule.
Workshops can last from 40 minutes to 2 hours depending on your requirements.
